Damson Plums or Plums in Vinegar

Ingredients
- 2.5 kg ripe damson plums or blue plums
- 1 l wine vinegar
- 250 g sugar
- whole cinnamon (a little)
- cloves (a little)
Instructions
- Wipe the ripe damson plums or blue plums clean with a cloth.
- Bring the wine vinegar with the sugar to a boil; as soon as it is clear, add the plums and let them boil 2-3 times.
- Remove with a slotted spoon, place in jars, and layer a little whole cinnamon and cloves between them.
- Let the vinegar reduce a bit more, then pour over the plums once cooled.
