Sour Cherries or Morello Cherries in Vinegar

Ingredients
- 5 kg sour cherries (Morello cherries)
- 0.5 l wine vinegar
- 1 kg sugar
- 5 g good cinnamon, cut into pieces
- 5 g cloves
Instructions
- Cut half the stems off the sour cherries and place them in a preserving jar.
- Boil half a liter of wine vinegar with 1 kilogram of sugar, 5 grams of cinnamon in pieces, and 5 grams of cloves, then pour cold over the cherries.
- After a few days, boil the vinegar again and pour it lukewarm over the cherries.
- Repeat the boiling once more after a few days, then pour the boiling vinegar over the cherries.
