Ingredients
- May Turnips (as needed)
- Meat broth or Water (a little)
- Butter or Fat (a little)
- Salt (a little)
- Flour (a little)
- Nutmeg (a little)
- Potatoes (a little)
Instructions
- Cut the turnips into small cubes or thin strips, add boiling meat broth or water, butter or fat, and the necessary salt, cook until tender, and dust with a little flour.
- When serving, sprinkle with a little nutmeg; some boiled potatoes can also be added.
- If the turnips are bitter, first par-boil them in salted water and then prepare as described; after blanching, they can also be braised like turnip greens, but then cook them until completely soft.
