Bratwurst with Apples
4 servings
Ingredients
- 6 pcs peeled apples
- sugar (a little)
- currants (a little)
- butter (a little)
- 250 g bratwurst
- lemon zest (a little)
- 1 glass Rhine wine
Instructions
- Cut 6 fine, peeled apples into 8 pieces, sprinkle with sugar, and let stand for several hours.
- At the same time, let cleaned currants swell with a little lukewarm water on a warm plate.
- Melt a good piece of butter in a pan until golden brown, place 250 g bratwurst in it, arrange the apples around it, sprinkle currants and a little lemon zest over them, and slowly fry covered.
- As soon as the apple pieces on the bottom are soft, turn them and remove the cooked ones so they don't fall apart.
- Once the sausage is cooked, add 1 glass of Rhine wine to the sauce, arrange the sausage, and garnish with the apples.
