Pannfisch (Pan-Fried Fish)

Ingredients
- cooked cod (as needed)
- butter (generous amount)
- finely chopped onions (a little)
- salt (a little)
- ground pepper (a little)
- potatoes, cooked and grated (as needed)
Instructions
- Remove the skin and bones from the prepared cod and chop it quite finely.
- Heat a generous amount of butter, add plenty of finely chopped onions, and sauté until soft without browning.
- Then add the cod with salt and ground pepper, and braise thoroughly, stirring frequently.
- Finally, mix in potatoes that have been boiled in their skins, then peeled and grated after cooling.
- This dish can also be prepared with haddock or cod.
