Rice Fritters, Rice Sausages, or Doughnuts

Ingredients
- 200 g Rice
- Milk (as needed)
- 200 g Sugar
- 0.5 pcs Vanilla bean
- Egg (for breading) (a little)
- Breadcrumbs (for breading) (a little)
- Cooking fat (as needed)
- Fruit sauce (for serving) (as needed)
Instructions
- Blanch the rice three times, then cook with milk, sugar, and half a vanilla bean to a soft, stiff, but grainy porridge.
- Spread this about a finger's width thick on a buttered board and let it cool completely.
- Then cut into pieces about 2 centimeters wide and 5 centimeters long, bread in egg and breadcrumbs, fry light brown in cooking fat, and serve hot.
- Serve with warm or cold fruit sauce.
- The rice patties can also be rolled into a sausage-like shape before breading.
