Plum Soup or Fresh Damson Plum Soup

Ingredients
- 500 g blue plums or damson plums, pitted
- 0.75 l water
- 1 piece cinnamon
- lemon peel (a little)
- sugar (as needed)
- 1 tbsp potato flour
- sponge dumplings or roasted white bread slices (as needed)
Instructions
- Cook the pitted plums with water, the cinnamon stick, and a little lemon peel until soft.
- Stir through a colander, bring to a boil again, add the necessary sugar, and thicken with potato flour mixed in cold water.
- Cook sponge dumplings in the soup or add white bread slices roasted in butter.
