Tomato Salad
4 servings
Ingredients
- 11 pieces ripe tomatoes
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- salt (a little)
- pepper (a little)
- sugar (a little)
- 0.25 piece onion, grated
- 0.5 clove garlic, finely chopped
- hard-boiled eggs (as needed)
Instructions
- For four people, place 10-12 very ripe tomatoes in the coldest possible place, ideally on ice, so they firm up and are easy to slice.
- Slice them thinly, removing the seeds, mix with two tablespoons of oil, two tablespoons of vinegar, salt, pepper, a little sugar, and a quarter of a grated onion, and serve immediately.
- If desired, half a clove of finely chopped garlic can be mixed in instead of the onion.
- Garnish the salad with a wreath of sliced, hard-boiled eggs.
