Herring Salad for Daily Table
4 servings
Ingredients
- 2 soup plate potatoes
- 2.5 pcs soaked herrings
- 2 saucer red beets
- 2 saucer sour apples
- 2 saucer meat
- onions (a little)
- oil (a little)
- vinegar (a little)
- pepper (a little)
- salt (a little)
- sour cream or milk/water (as needed)
Instructions
- Take 2-3 soaked herrings, chopped or sliced, for two plates of potatoes.
- Add two saucers full of red beets, the same amount of sour apples and meat, all finely diced.
- Carefully mix with onions, oil, vinegar, pepper, and salt so that everything remains whole.
- If you have sour cream, add a little to the sauce; otherwise, mellow the vinegar with a little milk or water, as this salad needs plenty of sauce.
