English Roll Pudding

Ingredients
- 500 g fine flour
- 250 g suet, finely chopped
- 1 pcs egg
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- jam (as needed)
- caster sugar (as needed)
Instructions
- Combine 500 g fine flour, 250 g finely chopped suet, 1 egg, 1 small cup of cold water, and 1 tablespoon sugar to form a dough.
- Roll out the dough lengthwise, about two knife-backs thick, spread with a good jam, roll up lengthwise, and press closed at both ends.
- Roll it into a napkin, tie the napkin closed at both sides, and cook the pudding in boiling water continuously for 2 full hours.
- Serve without sauce, just sprinkled with caster sugar.
