English Apple Pudding

Ingredients
- 500 g fine flour
- 250 g suet, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger, powdered
- cold water (as needed)
- 6 pcs sour apples, quartered
- whole cloves (some)
- 2 tbsp salt
- sugar, for serving (as needed)
Instructions
- Mix 500 g fine flour, 250 g finely chopped suet, and 1 heaped teaspoon powdered ginger thoroughly, then work into a dough with cold water until it no longer sticks to your hands.
- Roll out the dough into a circle, place a napkin in a deep bowl, dust with a little flour, lay the dough inside, and fill with quartered sour apples and a few whole cloves.
- Press the dough firmly together at the top, tie the cloth, and cook the pudding in boiling water with 2 tablespoons salt continuously for 1½-2 hours.
- Serve sprinkled with sugar.
