A Different Kind of Apple Pancake

Ingredients
- Pancake batter (as for currant cake) (as needed)
- 1 large soup plate Apples, peeled, thinly sliced
- Sugar (a little)
- Cinnamon (a little)
- Butter, for braising and baking (a little)
Instructions
- In a cake pan, gently braise the apples with a little butter over medium heat, covered, until soft.
- Spread them evenly.
- Add a little more butter to the pan and pour the batter over the apples.
- Bake the pancake until golden brown on both sides and sprinkle with sugar.
