Cold Almond Dessert

Cold Almond Dessert

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Cream the well-rinsed butter until smooth.
  2. Gradually beat in the finely crushed sugar mixed with vanilla, then add the whole eggs and finely crushed almonds—including some bitter ones—and mix everything thoroughly.
  3. Line the bottom and sides of a smooth mold with ladyfingers, ensuring the glazed side faces the mold (which will be the outside later).
  4. Pour in the mixture, cover with ladyfingers, place a plate with a slightly smaller diameter than the mold on top, and weigh it down.
  5. It's best to prepare this dessert a day in advance to allow the ladyfingers to soak through.
  6. Before serving, chill on ice, invert, and serve with vanilla sauce.
