Peach Punch Bowl
4 servings
Ingredients
- 1 bottle Rhine wine, aged
- 0.5 bottle Sherry
- 400 g sugar cubes
- 1.5 glass Arrack
- sugar, a piece, for flambéing (a little)
- peaches, preserved (a little)
Instructions
- For 4-6 people.
- Pour 1 bottle of aged Rhine wine and ½ bottle of sherry into a vessel and add 400 grams of sugar cubes.
- Place the vessel in simmering water and let it sit, covered, until the sugar has melted and the wine is hot.
- Then, place a fairly large piece of sugar in a metal spoon, pour about 1½ glasses of arrack over it, and ignite; hold the spoon over the punch bowl so that the melting sugar drips into it.
- Just before serving, add some preserved peaches.
