Sago Dish

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Wash the sago several times in cold water, cover with cold water, bring to a boil, pour into cold water to cool, and after draining the water, add to the boiling milk and cook until tender with a little salt and whole cinnamon, stirring constantly as it tends to stick.
  2. Stir butter and sugar into the hot sago and let it cool.
  3. Then mix the egg yolks well with it and finally fold in the beaten egg whites.
  4. Bake the dish in the mold for about one hour, protecting it from strong top heat, and serve with wine sauce.
  5. When serving, press lightly against the bottom of the mold so that it lifts with the dish, and place it without the rim on a flat dish.
