4 servings
Ingredients
- 1 l Rubbing alcohol
- 125 g Orange or Seville orange peel
- 250 g Rock candy, light brown
Instructions
- Prepare 1 liter of rubbing alcohol, 125 grams of orange or Seville orange peel, and 250 grams of light brown rock candy.
- Place the peel in water, after which the white part can be easily separated from the yellow part; cut the yellow peel into pieces and place it in jugs with the rubbing alcohol.
- Cork tightly and let stand for 14 days near the oven or 3 weeks in the cellar, shaking daily.
- Then press out the peel, add the rock candy, broken into small pieces, and return both to the bottle.
- Shake daily, and once the sugar has melted, filter the alcohol through blotting paper.
