Champagne from Fruit Wine
4 servings
Ingredients
- Gooseberry or currant wine, after fermentation (as needed)
Instructions
- Gooseberry and currant wine can be excellently processed into a sparkling beverage, akin to Champagne.
- To do this, after fermentation, do not transfer them to another barrel, but immediately bottle the wine into strong bottles, securing their corks with wire.
- This very refreshing drink must be kept very cool.
Modernized from a treasured 19th-century German cookbook.
