Waffles

Ingredients
- 10 g yeast
- 0.25 l sweet cream (lukewarm)
- 50 g sugar
- 6 pcs egg yolks
- 50 g butter (lukewarm)
- salt (a little)
- lemon zest (½ lemon) (a little)
- 2 tbsp rum
- 125 g flour
Instructions
- Whisk yeast, lukewarm sweet cream, sugar, and egg yolks until very frothy.
- Add lukewarm butter, salt, grated lemon zest, and rum, then mix with flour to create a rather soft dough.
- Beat the dough for some time and let it rise in a warm place.
- Bake the waffles in a waffle iron, filling with a spoon of dough without pressing it down.
- Keep the first waffles warm as they are served warm.
- Serve with coffee or tea, or as a main course, in which case they can be filled with jam or sauce and stacked.
