Bacon Tart
4 servings
Ingredients
- 1 kg Bread dough (see rye bread)
- Rendered bacon fat (for greasing the sheet) (a little)
- Smoked bacon (diced) (as needed)
- Sour cream (thick) (as needed)
- Eggs (several)
- Caraway seeds (a little)
- Salt (a little)
Instructions
- Roll out the bread dough to the thickness of the back of a knife and place it on a large baking sheet greased with rendered bacon fat.
- Cover densely with small cubes of smoked bacon.
- Whisk thick sour cream with several whole eggs, pour over the tart, sprinkle with caraway seeds and salt, and bake in the oven.
- Since the tart requires high heat, it should be baked before the bread.
