Yeast Dough Fruit Cake
4 servings
Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 175 g butter (clarified)
- 0.12 l milk
- 35 g starch
- 2 pcs eggs
- 1 tablespoons sugar (heaped tablespoons)
- 1 kg apples, plums, cherries, gooseberries, or blueberries
- sugar (for sprinkling) (a little)
- cinnamon (a little)
- butter (for topping) (a little)
Instructions
- Prepare a loose yeast dough from flour, butter, milk, starch, eggs, and sugar, let it rise, roll it out thinly, and transfer it to a greased baking sheet.
- Brush with melted butter and top with the prepared fruit, place small pieces of butter on the fruit, and sprinkle thickly with sugar and cinnamon.
- Let the cake rise well in a warm place and bake quickly until done, without letting the dough dry out.
- For cherries, gooseberries, or blueberries, sprinkle the dough with crushed rusks beforehand; it is best to warm the fruit before placing it on the cake.
