Danzig Coffee Bread

Ingredients
- 500 g Flour (sifted)
- 250 g Sugar (sifted)
- 125 g Butter
- 4 pcs Eggs
- 5 g Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
- 10 g Cream of tartar
Instructions
- Mix the butter, torn into small pieces, with the flour and stir with sugar and eggs to form a dough, which is left to rest and firm up overnight or at least for a few hours.
- Press the dough apart, sprinkle baking soda and cream of tartar over it, work through as quickly as possible, and roll out to the thickness of a knife blade.
- Cut out shapes with cutters or cut into figures and bake until dark yellow on a baking sheet.
