Apple Sauce Casserole

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Prepare a thick apple sauce from the apples and reduce it on the stove; for every 200 g of sauce, use 8 egg whites.
  2. Beat 4 egg whites until very stiff and fold into the hot sauce.
  3. Let cool, then add the stiff egg whites from the remaining 4 eggs.
  4. Fill the sauce into the dish, sprinkle with sugar and crushed almonds or macarons, pierce several times with a knife all the way to the bottom, and bake in a moderately hot oven for ½ hour.
  5. Serve immediately, as the casserole tends to collapse easily.
